Sixty-two District 202 high school student musicians earned selections to participate in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 9 festivals for jazz, choir, band, and orchestra in November.
The senior jazz festival will take place Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at St. Charles East High School in St. Charles. The senior music festival will take place Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville.
Students were selected through a competitive audition process. At the festivals, they will rehearse with experienced music educators and perform alongside student musicians from across the area.
