
Happy Veterans Day! Today, we held an assembly and musical ceremony to honor and express our gratitude to all veterans for their service and commitment.

After hearing the story "Room on the Broom", second grade brainstormed who they would have on their broom. and drew their picture. There was so much creativity!



Congratulations to Declan, Colin, and Kane on winning the 8u Pop Warner State Football Championship this past weekend! We are so proud of their amazing accomplishments and wish them luck at regionals in two weeks.

4th grade students listened to the story Bonaparte Falls Apart, and then explored the concept of symmetry by creating a symmetrical skeleton with clay and Q-tips. So fun!

Ms. Webber's class focused on using sensory details while completing a creative writing assignment.








Part of the fall festivities included Mrs. Zettek, Mr. Cocallas, and Ms. Sharp temporarily being secured to the wall with duct tape as part of an initiative to raise funds for Field Day activities.







Students and staff celebrated fall today. Thank you to the volunteers and staff who helped make our parties so fun!







Students had a great time at our fall parties! They played games, made crafts, carved pumpkins, and paraded around the building.








Thirty-two fifth graders from three District 202 elementary schools participated in the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 Elementary General Music and Chorus festival on Saturday, October 26, at Yorkville Middle School.
Music teachers nominated the students to attend the festival in either general music or choir. General music included using instruments such as drumming, xylophones, and recorders.
Students worked with teachers and other students during the day and presented a concert for families in the afternoon.

perishable items that will be sent home to families in Plainfield, Bolingbrook, Joliet and Lockport.

Second grade students heard the read aloud Gustavo the Shy Ghost, and then created a ghost that is camouflaged based on a photo they had. The back of the ghost stand out from the picture. They did an amazing job!

After reading the story Crankenstein, 1st graders discussed things that make us cranky, and then they created their own Crankenstein! They did such a great job!








Thank you to the PTO and all our volunteers! Families had a great night. They visited food trucks, danced in the multi-purpose room, and could visit the scary or not-so-scary Haunted Office!
