Sra. Schilling's Spanish Class

Sra. Schilling's Spanish Class

Hello, and welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Amy Schilling and I teach Spanish 1 and 2. This is my third year at Plainfield South High School. I am a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and I hold certifications in both Secondary and Elementary Education.

On this home page, I will post information regarding my classes that I feel will be beneficial to your child's success. This includes Bellwork, Homework, quiz and test dates, and any documents students may need. On that note, students will need to bring the following items to class every day:

1. A 2-pocket folder (for Spanish only)

2. A spiral notebook (for Spanish only - preferably 100 pages)

3. Pencil or pen

4. ¡Qué chévere! Spanish book (checked out at the beginning of the year)

5. ¡Qué chévere! Spanish workbook (given at the beginning of the year)

And, of course, a positive attitude and willingness to try are extremely helpful! I understand how strange and intimidating learning another language can be, so I'll do my best to make it relevant, fun, and interactive. So check your fears at the door and remember:

"Fear of trying causes paralysis. Trying only causes trembling and sweating." ~ Mason Cooley

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you and I look forward to a great year!
