CLUBS:

Cougar Club is running a Have a Heart Food Drive to benefit Plainfield families in need.  From now until the end of February, if you bring a nonperishable, unexpired food donation to your English teacher, or Room 425 or 427, you’ll be put in a raffle to receive one of several gift cards for places like Target, Starbucks, Bdubs, and more!   Please Have a Heart and donate today!   See Mr. Bicker, Mr. Christensen, or Mrs. Chesna if you have questions!

Auditions!  Auditions!  Auditions for Student-Directed One Acts are THURSDAY!!!  Please come to room 418 after school Thursday to audition for these 5 one-acts directed by the senior Thespian Drama Club members.  Auditions take place directly after school.  So come on down to room 418 after school Thursday!  See Mrs. Kamrowski if you have any questions!

The Tabletop Gamers Group will not meet this week.

 

SPORTS:

Badminton open gym will be from 7:30-9:30.  Please see Ms. Christie in room 419 with any questions. Hope to see you there!

There will be a brief meeting this Thursday Feb. 22nd after school for any girl interested in trying out for soccer.

ATTENTION SENIORS!!!

Sign up in Student Services to meet with our Financial Aid Expert – she is here one day only on Monday February 26th during all lunch and study hall periods.  There’s still time to complete financial aid, but it is running out quickly. Our expert can assist students on getting started with or completing the FAFSA.  If you have already completed the FAFSA but are having trouble navigating the verification process, we can help! These forms can be tricky.  Students can meet with our expert.  Bring in your award letters and we can help break it down.  *This is for senior students only and you must sign up in Student Services to meet with our financial aid expert

 

 “Lewis University is hosting a college fair on Tuesday, March 6th from 6:30-8:00pm.  Over 150 colleges and universities will be represented.  Stop down to the College & Career Center (room 300) to pick up a flyer!”

 

 IN CASE YOU HAVEN’T HEARD:

Hey Cougars!   Did you purchase your 2017-2018 Yearbook yet?   Not sure if you purchased a book?   Check the updated list both in & Outside of the café to confirm.   If you’re not on the list there are less than ninety remaining books that are available for a guaranteed purchase at a cost of $50.  Save 20% by ordering now and be certain you have a guaranteed book in your hand in May.  Any cash & carry books that are available will sell for $60 in May.

       

Do you have original musical ideas that you want to get recorded? Rigid Road Records is producing their annual CD. See Mr. Cook in the music wing for more details.

Help your Plainfield South Robotics team by dining at Buffalo Wild Wings. Tell the Server you would like to sponsor South Robotics and show them the flyer. Robotics will receive 10% of the check.  So take of picture of the Flyer and enjoy some wings.

Please bring canned foods as well as extra socks, hats, and gloves to room 424, Student Services or the Attendance Office to contribute. We will be collecting items from today through Friday the 23rd!
