Meaning: To swindle, trick, defraud

Several lawyers were caught bilking clients out of millions of dollars in an illegal real estate scheme.




French Club:  Halloween Meeting, on Oct. 24th in room 327 starting at 2:30.  We hope to see you there!


Attention all boys and girls interested in competitive cheerleading there is a mandatory meeting after school in room 188!


Attention all blue crew members there is a meeting in room 186 today after school!


Come join Future Educators Club at our next meeting after school in Room 122. Hope to see you all there!


“Students and staff please come out after school for the Black Student Association meeting. The meeting will take place in room 425 from 2:15-3:30. Remember, only when we come together and work towards a common goal can we expect change or growth.


The Cougar Club will be meeting this Thursday after school in room 105.  Are you interested in meeting new people and making a difference here at South and in the local community?  If so, then this is the club for you!  Again, that’s this Thursday in room 105. 




Tryouts for the competitive dance team are Monday October 28th from 2:30-5pm and Tuesday October 29th from 3-5pm in the dance studio.  Dancers must be registered online and have a current physical.  See Coach Fisher in Room 102 with any questions. 

Attention all girls interested in trying out for badminton this spring!  Open nets will be on October 23rd, November 6th, November 20th, and December 4th from 7:30-9:00 pm in the field house.  You do not need a racket to attend.  Hope to see you there!  

Save the Date - Females interested in the Girls Bowling Team.  The Informational meeting will be November 5th after school. Please register on the 8 to 18 website (if unsure please ask or stop in AD office.) Need to have a current physical on file.  More information to come

Girl’s Basketball Tryouts: 11/4, 11/5 and 11/6 after school. Anyone interested must register on the 8 to 18 website and have a current physical on file. Open gym calendar is posted by the athletic office for October.  All experience levels welcome!

Knox College -  Wed. 10/23 -   4th period

Central College – Wed. 10/23 – 5th period

Illinois Wesleyan University – Wed. 10/23  - 6th period



"Any PSHS student interested in auditioning for the jazz band should see Mr. Cook in the band office.  The jazz band is made up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, guitar, bass, drums and piano.  Auditions will be held October 23rd and 24th in the band room after school.  Audition materials are available from Mr. Cook or on his teacher webpage on the PSHS website.  Make sure to sign up for a specific audition time on the window across the hall from the band office."


Attention all AP students:

The deadline for all AP test payments is November 1st.  Please bring your registration form and payment to the main office no later than 2:00pm on Friday Nov. 1st.  Registration forms are available on our website, in the main office, or your AP teacher.  Please see Mr. Pakowski if you have any questions.


Attention all students:  Nothing Bundt Cakes will be here selling in the cafeteria this Thursday & Friday during all lunch periods.


This week is OUR chance to show our school spirit and vote for Plainfield South  for Friday Flyover school with the most Spirit! ABC 7 visited seven area high schools this season let’s bring the CUP back to PSHS!!

VOTING TAKES PLACE AT this Thursday 10/24 from 7am to 7pm.  The votewill be on their Main Page for everyone to access and simply click on the school of your choice.
