The number of digressions from the main point of the discussion made the lecture difficult to follow.



Student-Directed One Acts Auditions are Thursday, February 27tH .  NO MATERIAL IS REQUIRED to audition!  Directly after school in room 418 –.  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Kamrowski. See you there!


February 26th Why Not Wednesday theme is rainbow day, sponsored by PRISM Club. We’ll be handing out rainbow ribbons next week for LGBT+ community members and allies who don’t have rainbow colors but want to participate in the spirit day!



Congratulations to the following seniors who competed in the ACES competition through Eastern Illinois University on Friday February 7th at the University of St. Francis.  Matt Gray took first place in Physics and second place in Math, and both Jamison Kearney and Garret Blankenship tied for second place in Computer Science.  All three will be advancing to sectionals later this spring.


Congratulations to our Positive Referral recipients who displayed Cougar Culture through their kind, considerate actions and leadership during the week of February 10th through February 14th.

Hey Seniors!  Would you like to honor your 2020 graduate friend or have your family honor you with a childhood photo or message…Purchase a senior acknowledgement to be placed in the 2019-20 yearbook.  Provide up to three photos and a special message.  Space is limited and given on a first come basis.  Go to and look for Plainfield South.  Deadline is Friday, Feb 21st.


Do you make music? Are you an aspiring musician who wants their music heard? Come audition for the annual Rigid Road Records CD! Check out the posters in the hallways, or see Mr. Cook in the music wing for more info!


Are you interested in earning the Seal of Biliteracy on your high school transcript? The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given in recognition of students who have attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. If you would like to learn more about what it takes to earn the seal, please come to an informational meeting after school next Tuesday, February 25th in 300RS. Details about how to register for the STAMP test, the deadline for doing so, the dates and locations of the test, and what languages may be assessed will be shared. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Obradovic in Room 324.
